More Homemade Cracker Sandies

What can I say the kids love these
anytime I ask them what they want
for lunch this is it.

They made their boxes today
Homemade Cracker Sandwiches
with chocolate goldfishes
applesauce squeezers (no sugar added)
carrots and ranch
I made them with these handy little
Land O'Frost
Premium Mini's
They come pre cut to the perfect cracker size
just quarter a slice of cheddar and your good to go
at way less than if you were to buy premade cracker,
meat, and cheese meals.

Munchkin Bento Box Try Out

While browsing in the baby section at walmart, I came across these new
little bento boxes from munchkin and thought we should give them a try.
They come with 9 count 'em 9 pieces!
Big container, fork, spoon, two little containers w/lids,
and top for the big section of the box and then the lid.
That's kind of a lot for my kids I think, but still not a bad box for
bigger kids.

I've been trying to let them get more involved with their
food prep so here they are making their little lunches.
 Kaylee had homemade lunchables with
grapes and carrot sticks
She picked applesauce (no sugar added)
as her treat.
 Kolton had homemade lunchables with
carrot sticks and cantaloupe
He picked a granola bar for his treat.
The boxes fit in our lunch bags which is no small
feat because most of our boxes don't not even our
beloved easylunchboxes.

I chose not to put the lids on the small containers inside
because I knew that would be too many pieces for them
to worry about.  I was right because Kaylee threw
the small containers away, so now she goes without hers lol.

All in all these aren't a bad small bento.
Lid fits securely.  No spills.
The fork and spoon snap into the big lid,
which is a nice feature.
Just too many pieces for my little guys.

This review is my own opinion based on my experience
with this box.

See I promised I be making some lunches!

Kolton's been asking me for bentos for a while
so today I decided I better get my butt in gear and give
him what he wants.
He and Kaylee have practically the same lunch:
Deli Turkey and Cheese Rollers
Ritz Everything Crackers (Super Yum)
Orange Slices for him
Grapes for her
2 Chocolate Cookies
Strawberry Yogurt Squeezers
and a Horizon Milk Box
Ideally I would have packed their milk in a reusable container
but I'm still at my parents house and didn't bring all our bento supplies
so what can you do.

Update

Hi and welcome to all our new blog followers!

Thanks to Pinterest views to the blog have exploded, which is both awesome and a bummer- as you may or may not know, my husband is active duty military, he has been overseas since late last year.  We have also added a new baby to the brood, and because I knew I wouldn't be able to handle a preschooler, toddler, and a newborn completely by myself my parents graciously allowed my kids and I to basically take over their house since he left.

As you can see there haven't been new bentos since November-eek!-I just have had way, way too much going on to worry about blogging.  But not to worry, I will be getting back to bentoing as soon as I can.  Kolton has actually been after me to make lunchboxes for weeks, I'm just a slacker- haha.  The posts may be few and far between, because we'll be starting the home buying process when Eddie gets back to Texas, but we'll be back full time with (hopefully) daily lunch postings at the beginning of the next school year.  So please stay with me these next few months :)

And because I just can't resist sharing my little cuties here's a photo!

Tipi Tortillas

Kolton has been learning about Native American culture
at school leading up to Thanksgiving.
In fact they have a program at school today where they play
little Tom-Tom's and sing songs, it's going to be adorable.

So in that spirit here is his lunch today.
PB Tipi Tortillas
Carrot Sticks (his required ranch lol)
White Cheddar Goldfish Crackers
and an apple on the side

All packed up in our Easy Lunch Boxes
and he also used the lunch bag that ELB sells.

You can get both right here:
